Scanpan Classic Non-stick Cookware has excellent cooking properties and is very easy to clean. It is safe to use all types of kitchen utensils, even metal spatulas. The non-stick surface is so effective it is possible to cook without fat. The ergonomic Bakelite handles are fitted using a patented spring-lock system that will never come loose. Scanpan Classic Non-stick Cookware is ovenproof to 260°C. It is completely PFOA free at all stages of the manufacturing process.
Before First Use
- Wash your Scanpan Classic pan in warm soapy water.
In Use
- Frying with fat: Heat your Scanpan Classic pan to cooking temperature using medium heat then add the fat.
- Frying without fat: Heat your Scanpan Classic pan to cooking temperature using medium heat then start to fry.
- Do not use oil from aerosol sprays, as this can impair the non-stick coating.
- Do not overheat: aluminium is superior in retaining heat and high heat is unnecessary and will reduce the non-stick performance. Overheating will not be covered under warranty.
- Can withstand oven heat up to 260°C.
After Use
- Scanpan Classic Non-stick Cookware should be washed with warm soapy water. It is easiest to clean while it is still warm. The product must always be completely clean before it is put away.
- You should not use your Scanpan product to store food.
- Burn marks due to overheating or charring of fatty substances can be removed by 3/4 filling the product with water, bringing to a slow boil using medium heat, adding a dessert spoon of detergent, simmer for 15 minutes, rinse and scrub. You can then clean it in the normal way.
- Some signs of wear and tear may become visible on the coating. This is normal and does not affect its non-stick qualities.
- Misuse such as knife cuts and use of whisks and electrical equipment is NOT covered under warranty.
- Scanpan Classic Non-stick Cookware is dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended.
